Motion made by C. Gillespie and seconded by C. Crossett for meeting to open at 7:04 PM.

Motion made by C. Siver and seconded by C. Gillespie to waive reading of minutes.

Discussion took place on the atvs and utvs a resident from the lower end of Military road was in attendance. He stated that Atvs are still driving aggressively, they are loud and over half are not registered. He also stated that this mostly takes place on the weekends. He also stated that on one occasion one of the riders actually swerved at him.

C. Siver is going to contact the forest rangers to see if the will set up a road block.

This has been tabled until next meeting.

Legislator Shaw was in attendance to discuss several things going on with in the County. Plumbo has been appointed as head of the 911 center.

Discussion took place on noise ordinance. Town of Salisbury is having a public meeting tonight on noise ordinance law. Lora will contact all other town clerks to get a copy of their noise ordinance if they have one.

Janet Burt was in attendance to update the board, the siding on the front of the historical society is done and the beams in the walls replaced.

There will be a program at the historical society on Sunday at 2 pm on the Adirondack Railroad.

Discussion took place on people renting the rec. hall and not using the new parking lot. They are parking on both sides of the road there are no parking signs all the way up through. We will start having the police write tickets for those who park on the side of the road.

Reminder budget work shop is September 7th at 5:30 Pm.

Public budget meeting October 12th at 7:30 Pm.

The new truck was discussed, if we order now we won’t get it until Feb/ March of 2018. The first payment won’t be due until 2019. The total cost is $223,080.47 for the Western Star.

The 1987 Ford 9,000 we will sell, but not until we get new one.

Motion made by C. Snyder and seconded by C. Gillespie to accept buying the new Western Star. All in favor Aye

Judy stated that after this we will need to wait at least two years before we buy anything else.
